LayTec's BEST PAPER AWARD: LayTec is happy to announce the launch of "LayTec‘s In-situ Monitoring Award" which is intended to recognize outstanding contributions to MOVPE by applying optical in-situ sensors. LayTec donates the prize of 1.000€ for the best in-situ related contribution submitted to the 14th International Conference on MOVPE (ICMOVPE 2008) by scientists from academia or industry. Contributions qualifying for the award will be evaluated by the ICMOVPE program committee and the prize will be handed out at the ICMOVPE banquet on June 5. Conference STUDENT AWARDS The technical committee also invites applications for its 2008 IC MOVPE Student Awards. Two cash awards will be given. One offered by "University of Metz" and the other offered by "Georgia tech Lorraine". Each award winner will receive 200 euros cash and be refund for registration fees. Papers presented by students and based on their own work will be considered for the Best Student Paper Award IF THE PAPER IS IDENTIFIED AS A STUDENT PAPER AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION (the student must be first author). The best student paper award is decided based on the abstract, final paper and oral or poster presentation. The award ceremony will be made at the banquet. Award Consideration requirement: In order for a paper to be considered for the best student paper award, the student's professor and/or research supervisor will be asked to complete a student paper recommendation letter clearly outlining the student's individual contribution to the work. The student application form is to be filled out on line (including recommendation letter upload) by those student whose paper is accepted as a poster or as a presentation by the final extended abstract deadline of May 25, 2008. |
